The Lotus Esprit made a huge splash when it shot onto the screens- and into fame in the 1977 Bond Movie “The Spy Who Loved Me” starring Roger Moore and Barbara Bach.!
Most people haven’t been in a supercar that can turn into a submarine… but James Bond has… and when he did he chose the lotus esprit!
.
A lightweight (around 900kgs) fibreglass supercar with a mid mounted engine putting many V8s to shame at the time- and with a top speed well over 200 kph (on land) a ride (and pictures) in this car are a must for any bond fan!
Optimised for land use, our lotus features the white exterior and Ocean Blue interior and has the high power 2.2 litre slant 4 with an engine note almost as famous as the car itself!
These cars were all hand built in the uk and sold worldwide so by the time our car was made in 1978 there were only only 1200 of them in existence.
Spend some time with our Lotus and you’ll understand why demand for these cars was so high that there was a 3 year waiting list for them!
